STRETCH GOAL #2 UNLOCKED!
In case you missed it, we just BLEW PAST our second stretch goal and are now over 380% funded! Amazing! Thank you all for contributing and sharing our project with others!
What this means is that we can offer a NEW color option for the kerchiefs. The next two color options we offer will be chosen BY YOU, our awesome backers, at the end of the campaign. In case you missed it on the project page, here are some of the color options we're exploring:
We're not even halfway home! Let's see what we can do in the next 17 days to make this project even bigger with more color options!
Some proof that we're on to something here...
Blade Show 2016 in Atlanta, GA (the World's Largest Knife Show) was a bit of a proving ground for the NxN Merino Wool Kerchiefs and let's just say the experts have weighed in and THEY LOVE IT! Who you might ask?
We were pleasantly shocked and surprised that Creek Stewart of Willow Haven Outdoor and the host of The Weather Channel's TV Show Fat Guys in the Woods was not only a fan of the NxN Merino Wool Kerchief project but that he was one its earliest backers! Creek's guest blog post for The Art Of Manliness on how to tie a shemagh was the inspiration for me to start looking at larger fabric tools to meet my needs on or off the trail. He's also just released a new best-selling book "Survival Hacks: Over 200 Ways to Use Everyday Items for Wilderness Survival" on Amazon. Great hacks to turn everyday objects into essential survival gear. Be sure to check it out!
I first heard of Joe Flowers when I came across some of his knife designs at TOPS Knives, then again when he started writing for Backpacker Magazine. When we finally met for the first time at Trail Days, I already knew more about him than he did about me. Needless to say, we hit things off immediately. Thanks to Joe's media connections (and love of our kerchiefs!), you'll see reviews of the NxN Merino Wool Kerchief in some of your favorite magazines later this year.
I discovered David and his site UltimateSurvivalTips.com when I was searching for product reviews for a particular knife I was considering purchasing. Thanks to his outstanding review I bought it right away! With over 300,000 subscribers on YouTube, David also hosts one of the most popular survival channels on YouTube and CarbonTV. Even better, I also discovered that he lived and worked right up the road from me! It took us a few years and Blade Show to finally meet up, but when we did, he instantaneously fell in love with the NxN Merino Wool Kerchief (something he had been searching for for years). Though he loved shemaghs, he knew cotton was an inferior material, especially in cold, wet weather becoming a survival liability. He also launched his MSK-1 (Multi-Scenario Knife) on Kickstarter shortly before our campaign, which brings me to my last point...
The Ultimate Survival Knife!
If you could only have one knife for the rest of your life to carry you over or through any survival obstacle, this is it! It's your do-everything knife that is incredibly versatile and chocked full of meaningful details that can actually save your life. No chinzting or skimping here. David has poured hours of thought and work into constructing the absolutely best survival knife. I saw it at Blade Show and it is a work of usable art. I'm in love.
It's available now on Kickstarter but is ending soon! This may be the only chance you have to get one, so don't wait! There are lots of reward options available (he ANNIHILATED his goal thanks to 400 backers so far), so there's something for everyone. Don't wait or it'll be too late!

Thanks, everyone! We're getting close to the half-way point and I couldn't be more excited about our progress! Let's finish up strong: )
Cheers,
Chad
